Croquet

The North Eastern District Croquet Association Inc. (NEDCA) consists of twelve affiliated clubs: Albury, Beechworth, Benalla, Bright, Cobram, Corowa Civic, Howlong, Twin City, Walla Walla, Wangaratta, Wodonga and Yarrawonga.

Two main croquet games are played – Association Croquet and the simpler Golf Croquet, which has become increasingly more popular. NEDCA clubs participate in regular social days, tournaments and a Golf Croquet pennant competition.

Croquet is a game of skill and strategy similar in aspects to other games such as chess, golf and snooker. The pace of the game is a leisurely stroll with fun but competitive company.

It is a sport for all ages, easier on the body than many other impact sports. It can be a great, no stress, social game or competitive at local, regional, state and international levels.
